That sound would be unbearable. I live in the NW corner of WA and I hear and feel a low rumble quite often. Day or night but seems louder at night. Probably because it’s so quiet at night. Sometimes I go outside to listen and sometimes I hear it and sometimes I don’t . I can feel it vibrate through concrete when I hear it outside. Sometimes it gets louder and it makes me fear an earthquake or tsunami is coming. I contacted the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network group on FB and they said it sounds like EMF’s. I must be sensitive to them. I’m not alone. All over the US people hear/feel it. There’s a site where one can go to record your event. I’m not sure but I think it’s hum.net or .org One should be able to find it by searching Google. Most say it sounds like a diesel engine idling down the street. That’s pretty much how I’d describe it. It’s annoying and scary. I’ve asked people and everyone I’ve asked can’t hear or feel it. Even when they’re standing right next to me when I hear/feel it.
